Some of the images currently providing fuel for my creative fire. In other news, the cameras have been found. I put them away. Who’d've thunk?

It's hard to be a fat cat.
Gratuitous cat photo because:
I was looking forward to posting some pics of the crafty bits and pieces I’ve been working on with all this time off, but seem to have misplaced my camera. We think we may have left them at Michael’s mother’s place? This is when the disorganization becomes a real pain. So, a hold on those photos until further notice…
In other news, I’ve come up with what I hope will actually be a workable plan for getting fit. Basically it involves bribing myself. If I work out three times a week, I earn 5 fabric bucks. Work out 4-5 times/weeks and eat relatively well, earn 10 fabric bucks. No buying fabric or crafty goodness if I’m a lazy butt. We’ll see.
I have been motivated lately to actually work on some projects, which is good–it means that the buying of fabric doesn’t only go toward the creation of a stash that Michael cannot understand at all. Theoretically, if I finish some of my started and planned project, I may have to buy more fabric than my incentive budget will allow. But I think that if I have to cross that road, I’ll be a happy girl. I’ll have been exercising and crafting productively! Keep your fingers crossed!
Fay is kicking butt!

Satellite Image of Tropical Storm Fay
We’re being hammered by the effects and after-effects of Tropical Storm Fay. It’s the slowest moving storm I’ve ever seen–it really seems like Fay wants an in-depth tour of the state of Florida. I’ve had three days off work (no complaints there!) and Michael has been home the last two. We’d been good little kids and not gone out so we hadn’t seen too much to make us think all this fuss in worth it. Then we went out for a bit this afternoon just to beat a little bit of the stir-craziness and saw a tree down right in our own apartment complex-it’s all laid out over the roof of the management building.
As we drove to Comp USA (for Michael to ultimately decide he wasn’t going to buy what we came for), we saw a LOT of standing water and retention ponds that were barely retaining. On the west side of the city, flooding has really become a problem. The St. John’s River is kind of freaky and flows north, and so all the earlier rain that has fallen in southern parts of the state is just getting to us now. I’m a little concerned about my library–it’s in a pretty low lying area that gets a lot of standing water just when we have a regular rain shower. I guess I’ll find out Monday!
